Old Dominion University shooting: Gunman Mohamed Jalloh convicted of aiding ISIL

The FBI has identified Mohamed Jalloh as the gunman in the deadly shooting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. The shooting, which killed one and injured two others, is being investigated as an act of terrorism. Jallo was convicted of aiding the Islamic State terrorist group and was released from prison less than two years ago. He pleaded guilty in October 2016 to providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and was sentenced to 11 years behind bars. The incident occurred when ROTC members subdued him, but his official cause of death has not been disclosed.
