Tornado season is beginning

The increasing threat of tornadoes is due to the warm weather across Middle Tennessee, which is often accompanied by strong low pressure or storm systems. These factors are often attributed to the combination of cold weather and high humidity. Since the early 1800s, the most significant months for tornadoes are March, April, and May. The most tranquil time of year for severe weather is September and October.
