Ellie Fox, a senior right-hander for Yorkville softball, has been performing well at home during the high school season. Despite being known for her strong arm and throwing ability, Fox has also excelled at the plate. She hit.378 with four home runs and 20 RBIs as a sophomore and followed up by hitting.302 with a home run and 21 RBIs last season. Fox was offered a Division I scholarship to the Ohio Valley Conference program for her ability. For the third consecutive year, Fox is a starting rotation fixture for Yorkvil. She was scheduled to start in the circle against Oswego on Monday, but the game was postponed a day due to lightning.
