Yale New Haven Health Hospitals Earn 'A' Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group

Youth New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and Westerly Hospital (RI) have earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. The grades are based on evidence-based measures focused on preventable medical errors, injuries and infections. Yale New Haven Health CEO, Christopher O'Connor, stated that these top marks reflect the organization's commitment to providing the safest possible care for patients. The Leap Frog Hospital Safety Grades are the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventing medical errors and infections, which together claim over 500 patients every day in the United States.
