Metagood COO Amanda Terry has suggested that tokenizing private credit could unlock billions in trapped capital for investors beyond Wall Street. Private credit, a fast-growing corner of finance where non-bank lenders lend loans to companies that cannot or do not want to borrow from banks, is notoriously illiquid and difficult to leave once an investor is in a fund. Tokenization could help investors access deals that previously required being a large limited partner in a funds. The broader tokenized RWA market has grown from roughly $1 billion to $28 billion in three years. The International Monetary Fund has labelled tokenization a "structural reconfiguration" of financial architecture rather than a marginal improvement.
