Jose Medina, the suspect in the murder of Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gorman, is due in court for a detention hearing. The Department of Homeland Security identifies Medina as an undocumented immigrant from Venezuela. Gorman was shot in the neck and died from her injuries. The court was told that Medina was at the hospital for tuberculosis. He is now facing first degree murder and weapon charges.
