Two students from Roslyn High School and Roslyn Middle School, Summer Rosenblum and Marielle Streiner, turned their grief into action following the loss of their friends, Ethan Falkowitz and Drew Hassenbein, who were killed in a car crash on May 3, 2023. The students co-organized a student-led 2nd Annual Drunk Driving Community Awareness Walk on April 18 at East Hills Park, with over 125 community members, friends, and family members supporting the cause. They hope the walk will raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and encourage others to make responsible choices behind the wheel.
