SEPTA begins using AI cameras on trolleys to ticket blocking vehicles; warning period ends April 1

SEPTA has begun using AI-powered cameras on trolleys in Philadelphia to ticket vehicles illegally blocking tracks and trolley zones. The cameras are now being used to monitor vehicles parked illegally near the end of a block. Each violation is verified by a human working for the Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA), and if verified, a warning or $51 citation will be issued. The system is also being used for vehicles illegally parked in trol zones.
