Bo Nix’s return timeline and other questions as Broncos offseason program begins

The 2026 offseason program for the Denver Broncos begins, with players starting voluntary part of the program later than usual and later than everyone else in the NFL. Head coach Sean Payton believes that running and lifting are more important this time of year than football-related activities. Outside of a rookie minicamp May 8-10, Denver will abstain from on-field work until the first week of June. The likely return of Broncos QB Bo Nix is uncertain as he recovers from a clean-up procedure on his surgically repaired right ankle. The team's first 2026 team meeting will also feature the first messaging about building towards a title run.
