Lufthansa cabin crew union calls one-day strike in Germany

The cabin crew union, UFO, has called for a one-day strike in Germany, affecting all Lufthansa departures from Frankfurt and Munich. The union is demanding better working conditions for the 19,000 members and the redundancy package for the 800 employees of Cityline, which is set to wind down. The strike is scheduled to occur from 12:01 a.m. to 10pm GMT (191919 GMT) and is expected to affect all departures from nine German airports. Lufathansa has called on the union to resume negotiations.
