Hyundai is recalling 294,000 vehicles in the US for a potential front seatbelt problem that could cause injuries in a vehicle crash. The problem is caused by a malfunctioning snap-on clip at the base of the front seatbelts, which prevents them from fully securing them to the seat frame. The recall is listed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHT) and internal campaign numbers are 298-032G. So far, there have been six U.S. reports of such incidents.
