The NFL has partnered with TMRW Sports, the company behind the TGL, to develop a professional flag football league for men and women. The league will be backed by all 32 teams and will be supported by well-known figures in and out of football. The partnership has been in the works for two years, according to Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Peter O'Reilly, the NFL's executive vice president, stated that flag football has become a crucial part of the league's international and league strategy. The teams have approved an initial investment of up to $32 million for the league through 32 Equity, the league’s investment arm. Other notable investors include Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Fitzgerald.
