A woman was killed and a man injured in an overnight shooting in Kansas City, according to police. The incident occurred just after 12:45 a.m. on April 9. Police responded to the 400 block of Wallace Avenue and found a woman shot in the backyard of a home. While officers were on scene, a man was transported to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound and is expected to recover. No one is currently in custody and the case is under investigation.
