Ore. Man Sentenced for Murdering His Wife While in LSD-Induced 'Dream State'

Talon Gabriel Mitchell, now 23, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of his wife, Oulaykham Mona Chopheng, in 2023. Mitchell pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the death. He allegedly told investigators that he took LSD the morning of the killing and blacked out and woke up later to find Chopheng dead. Mitchell also admitted to owning a handgun and a shotgun used in the killing.
