A Genesee County couple has been charged with abandoning/cruelty to 25 or more animals, a felony punishable by up to seven years in prison, and a misdemeanor for failing to properly dispose of dead animals. The charges stem from a complaint received by Genese County Animal Control in February that the home had more than 60 pets rescued, including an additional 26 dogs and one cat found dead.
