Patriots make $80 million pivot to Romeo Doubs after stalled attempts at receivers

The New England Patriots have made a significant investment in receiver Romeo Doubs, signing him for $80 million. This follows several unsuccessful attempts at A.J. Brown and Alec Pierce. Doubs will have a chance to establish himself as the top option for quarterback Drake Maye. The Patriots have also invested in former Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, reportedly earning $42 million with a potential maximum of $48 million.
