A judge has returned a dispute over whether Alexandra Wilson, one of two women with the last name Wilson, should she be allowed to remain on the Republican primary ballot for a state Senate seat in Indiana. The legal issue is significant as it could impact the campaign prospects of Brenda Wilson, who has President Donald Trump's endorsement. Supporters argue that Alexandra Wilson is ineligible due to a 2010 criminal conviction. The four-member Election Commission split 2-2 during a February hearing on the challenge, with Alexandra Wilson remaining on the ballot. Conservative attorney Jim Bopp has argued that Alexandra's eligibility should be determined by her status when she filed her candidate paperwork.
