New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill is set to move into Drumthwacket, the state's official executive residence, this summer. This makes her the first New Jersey governor to live full-time at this residence in over 20 years. The move reflects Sherrill's administration's commitment to governing from Trenton. The main residence began in 1835 under Charles Smith Olden, and Sherrill was the first governor to reside there. The property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is open and accessible to New Jersey residents.
