The company believes the attack has been contained to only an internal Microsoft environment, and there is no evidence of ransomware or malware within their systems. The Iranian-controlled group, Handaware, claimed responsibility for the cyberattack, claiming it was in retaliation for a missile strike on an Iranian elementary school.
