A 17-year-old boy from Concord, North Carolina, will be tried as an adult for murdering one teenager and injuring another at an online marketplace meetup. The alleged altercation occurred when Yanixan Arellanes Silva asked two 16-year olds about an item he wanted to purchase that they were selling on social media. Police found one of the teenagers dead and the other with serious injuries. The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and other charges related to the incident.
