Five Houston ISD schools competed in the district championship in girls flag football, with two teams advancing to the regional round of the playoffs. The HISD Flag Football District Championship games were held at Delmar Stadium. The defending district champs from Heights played Sam Houston in the semi-finals, where Sam Houston's quarterback Emma Syphard was the MVP. Lamar's defensive player, Diana Gonzales, led the Tigers' comeback, with an interception and return for the touchdown, which was the game-winning touchdown. Other standout players included quarterback Mackenzie Hypolite, receivers Autumn Foster and Sydne Tisdale, Delaney Perry, and Haylie Hernandez. North Fourth and Wisdom high schools also played but were eliminated.
