Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin has been inspiring young girls at a conference at Copper Mountain in Colorado. The girls, from Colorado’s Arkansas River Valley, were introduced to the event by elevateHer, a nonprofit organization that aims to empower young women through outdoor adventure. Shiffin, who became the first three-time Olympic gold medalist in skiing at the Milan-Cortina Olympics, skied with the girls before they could discuss their passions and lifestyles. Since returning from Europe following the World Cup season, Shiffr has been performing well, breaking the record for World Cup wins three years ago and adding another 23 wins.
