Police have arrested a 37-year-old Brazilian national, Rodrigo Rodrigo Saito, following a two-hour armed standoff at an apartment in Toyohashi City, Aichi. The suspect allegedly pointed a pair of scissors at police officers and fled when a patrolling officer approached him, climbing through the window of the apartment and threatening to kill them if they entered. After two hours of unsuccessful negotiations, police eventually stormed the building and arrested Saito. He faces charges of obstructing police in the performance of their duties.
