Police Speak Out After Car Careens Into Crowd, Says Incident Was 'Not Connected' To First Friday Event

The Oakland Police Department has stated that the incident occurred after the end of First Friday, not directly related to the event. The driver of the car drove onto the sidewalk and then fled on foot, injuring seven people. All of the injured are in stable condition. The incident occurred shortly after First Friday ended.
