Hundreds of members of the Alaska motorcycle community gathered for a bike blessing event at the Dimond Center in an effort to ensure a safe summer for motorcycle enthusiasts. Several Christian motorcycle groups offered to bless any vehicle that could be touched down. The event also included a "Rolling Thunder" ritual where riders would drive their motorcycles around the parking lot while they were praised for their safety. Anonymous Anchorage mayor, Susan LaFrance, addressed the crowd and encouraged them to pay attention to other people's activities.
