Four people have been indicted for murder in the death of an 18-year-old boy killed during a shootout between rival gangs in Las Vegas. The incident was solved through lyrics in a rap music video and location data. The victim, Curtis Smith, was dropped off at Centennial Hills Hospital with a gunshot wound and later died from his injuries. Police learned that Lofton accidentally shot Smith in the back of the head during the shootout. A Clark County grand jury voted to indict Lofton and three others, Ishad Livingston, Terrell Shelton and Lynnarion Washington, for Smith's death. The charges carry criminal gang enhancements, suggesting the shooting was gang-related.
