Nonprofit applications open for up to $200K in state cannabis reinvestment grants

The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) is accepting non-profit applications for up to $200K in the Community Reinvestment Program, which uses 40% of tax money collected for legal marijuana sales. The grants will be divided into categories such as youth-serving initiatives for participants age 24 and under through five focus areas. Applicants must be a 501(c)3 non-organisation with in-state services. The fund's director, Matthew Wilson, emphasised the focus on community repair and justice for communities disadvantaged due to drug laws. The application deadline is May 13.
