Driver Shot Dead After Officer Clings To Moving Truck On South Side Street

A Milwaukee police officer has killed a 35-year-old man after he allegedly drove away with the officer clinging to the side of his truck. The suspect was wanted on a parole violation and had a passenger in the vehicle. Police Chief Jeffrey Norman called it a "totally preventable incident" that endangered the officer, the passenger in vehicle, and the driver himself. The officer was treated for minor injuries and the suspect died in the shooting. The incident occurred around 10 a.m.
