Dinwiddie County, Virginia, has issued an immediate burn ban due to dry conditions. The temporary ban remains in effect until the next widespread rainfall is reported. All smoking materials must be extinguished and discarded, and any violation of Sec. 10-4.1 will be made as a separate offense. The ban supersizes Virginia's annual burning law, which bans open-air burning from February 15 to April 30.
