A first-grader from Herriman, Utah, was assaulted by another student on a private bus from Silver Crest Elementary to ABC Great Beginnings daycare in Riverton. The incident occurred on a bus from the elementary school to the daycare. The victim's father, Justin Robbins, has called for a change in campus policy regarding the use of a baseball bat. The daycare took immediate action, including expulsion of the student who had the bat, and child protective services. Johnny Anderson, president of ABC Great Beginningnings, confirmed the incident occurred and received "appropriate" disciplinary action. The Jordan School District responded to questions about the incident, stating that it did not happen on a school bus.
