Aptera co-CEO Steve Fambro posted a video showing his solar car producing more energy than his home solar power. The video illustrates the company's focus on creating a purpose-built solar EV that can significantly reduce plug usage. Fambo's home was producing 136 watts of solar power at 8 a.m. while his Aptera was producing over 300W. The company's design philosophy allows the car to have up to 40 miles of range per day in sunny climates. However, this doesn't necessarily mean the car is better than a rooftop system in absolute terms. Despite these improvements, the company still faces a $43.9 million annual loss and a $9.6 million in cash.
