Children at the Wichita State University's Child Development Center held an event to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The initiative involved setting up pinwheels, a national symbol representing the support systems and actions that help children and their families thrive. The event was also attended by the Kansas Children's Service League and the city's City Council member, who presented a proclamation recognizing the month.
