The recent surge in temperatures and increased humidity is expected to bring the potential for severe storms across Massachusetts for the second consecutive day. The National Weather Service has warned that areas south of the Mass Pike are particularly vulnerable due to these storms, which are expected to move into Connecticut, Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts between 6 and 10 p.m. The best chance for stronger storms is along the Mass. However, most of the afternoon will feature sunny skies and warm winds, creating a stark temperature contrast with highs in the 70s inland and the seabreeze keeping the temperature in the 50s along the coast.
