Barry Christian, a Republican candidate for Oklahoma Senate District 38, was found dead in a rural wildlife refuge near Erick, Oklahoma, after his truck crashed into a ravine. The circumstances surrounding his death are uncertain. Christian was last seen in Sayre, but why he ended up in the wildlife management area remains unclear. His body has been taken to the state medical examiner's office where the cause and manner of death will be determined. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has not yet identified any persons of interest in Christian's death.
