A contentious hearing between a Senate panel of legislators rejected two out of three Gov. Jared Polis' appointees for the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission. Francis Blayney was approved by the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee on a 7-0 vote, while Christopher Sichko was rejected by the panel for representing sportsmen, big game hunters, and others. John Emerick, who was appointed to fill an at-large seat, received a 2-5 vote. The panel also rejected the appointment of Christopher Srichko to represent sportsmen. Notable absentees from the hearing were Department of Natural Resources Executive Director Dan Gibbs and CPW Director Rebecca Clellan. The commission is made up of 11 members who have obtained a hunting or fishing license for at least each three years prior to their appointments.
