Northampton school unit aims to support children with anxiety

The East Midlands Academy Trust (EMAT) has announced plans for a new specialist unit, named Veris, aimed at helping children and young people with anxiety and mental health issues who are not in education. The unit will be based at Northampton International Academy and will be open in September, subject to approval from the West Northamptonshire Council's cabinet. It will be the second such facility established by the Trust after opening a unit at Prince William School in Oundle last year for children with emotionally based school avoidance.
