The annual spring egg hunt in Newtown, Connecticut, saw hundreds of children, parents, and grandparents participating in the scramble. The event, presented by the Newtown Rotary Club, took place behind Goodnoe Elementary School and involved 8,000 brightly colored plastic eggs. The eggs were donated by The First National Bank of Newtown and were filled with Easter treats provided by Sam's Club. One lucky egg hunter from each age group category found a prize egg, entitling them to a gift from the Zebra-Striped Whale and Nothing Bundt Cakes. This is the sixth year the Rotary club has organized the event.
