McAlester man convicted on federal child sexual abuse charges

A federal jury has convicted 48-year-old Jeffrey Brent Thomas of multiple counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving minors in Indian Country. The aggravated charges carry potential sentences ranging from 30 years to life in prison and could result in fines up to $250,000. The alleged offenses occurred in Pittsburg County, within the boundaries of the Choctaw Nation Reservation.
