After health scare, Tamarac man uses second chance at life to build up his community and follow his passion

Daniel Duva, a graphic designer from Tamarac, Florida, has used his passion to become a full-time job following a major health scare in 2024. He was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer and began working as a warehouse worker to pay his bills. His fiancée, Kristine Petersen, left her job at a Fortune 500 company to focus on his passion and launched Daniel Duva Design, which helps local businesses with branding. Duva is still working the warehouse job to cover the insurance for his cancer treatment.
