Iran says no meeting planned with US; indicates indirect talks through Pakistan

Iran has stated that it will not meet directly with the US in upcoming talks mediated by Pakistan, despite a contrary statement from the White House. The Iranian foreign ministry stated that its observations would be relayed to Pakistan. The White House confirmed that special envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law, will be in Pakistan for a second round of talks amid the Iran war. The talks are expected to be facilitated by Pakistani officials.
