Ana Moon, a longtime volunteer and leader in local education efforts in Moraga, has been named the 46th citizen of the year for her years of community service. Moon, who was born and raised in Pleasanton, moved to Moraga in 2010 and has since become deeply involved in local initiatives, particularly through the Moraga Education Foundation. Her work with the foundation, where she now serves as executive director of programs, has led to increased volunteer engagement, strong relationships with beneficiaries, donor participation, and overall funds raised. Moon also led the creation of the community cookbook as part of the town's 50th anniversary celebration. Despite challenges, Moon remains committed to respectful dialogue within the community.
