Retired lawyer James M. Rickher has filed a lawsuit against the US Treasury and U.S. Mint to block the production of a commemorative coin featuring President Donald Trump's image. The complaint was filed after Rickher found a federal law banning portraits of living individuals on U.K. currency and securities. He has urged court action before the coin’s scheduled distribution on July 4. The Treasury Department also plans to issue a $1 Trump coin. The lawsuit has been assigned to U.-S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut.
