Alice Lou Myrtle Wittenburg Caldwell, a 100-year-old Cleveland County woman, has celebrated her milestone birthday with a surprise party attended by around 120 people from as far away as Connecticut, Maryland and Texas. Born in the Roaring '20s, Caldwell has lived in the Light Oak community for over 75 years and has had hundreds of children and grandchildren. Despite living through segregation and World War II, she still loves baking and cooking for people and has touched countless lives over the past 100 years. Her granddaughters, Adrienne Smith and Jasmine Smith, said their grandmother still has a heart for all people and is known for her strong faith in God.
