Luis Antonio Gomes Akay, 39, has been convicted of first-degree murder in relation to the 2022 death of his Army Reservist girlfriend, Anna Laura Costa Porsborg, who was 22 at the time. The couple had been on vacation in L.A. when they allegedly had an argument and left the hotel on their own. Porsburg was never seen or heard from again and her body has never been found.
