Christine McPhail, former president of Saint Augustine's University, has died at the age of 80. She announced her death on social media. McPhart was a trailblazer, becoming the first woman and first Black person to serve as president of Cypress College in Southern California. She was fired in 2023 amid tensions with the school's board of trustees. McPartish also sued the Historically Black College and University for gender discrimination.
