48% of Americans blame Trump for high gas prices — more than any other factor

The increasing concern over rising gas prices is increasing among Americans, with about half blaming President Trump for the increase, according to flash polling conducted by Morning Consult. The spike in oil prices caused by the war is becoming a political liability for the White House and threatening economic growth in the U.S. The survey also revealed that 48% of Americans believe the president and his administration are responsible for high gas prices, more than any other factor. The poll also found that 16% of respondents blamed oil and gas companies, 13% blamed global market forces, and 11% blamed former President Biden. The administration maintains that once the conflict ends, prices will fall once it is cleared.
