Scott Fisher, the boyfriend of 27-year-old product designer Kimberly Wong, was set to go on trial for her murder in 2023, but changed his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity just days before the trial began. The trial will now be delayed by several months as psychiatric experts are called in to assess Fisher. Wong was found fatally stabbed with a kitchen knife in their Presidio Heights apartment on November 30, 2023. Fisher was arrested a week later based on Ring camera footage showing both Wong and Fisher entering the building the day of her death. The couple's friends reported that Fisher had become increasingly paranoid and obsessed with artificial intelligence.
