Kelsey Fitzsimmons, a police officer from North Andover, Massachusetts, was shot by fellow officers while they served her a restraining order last summer. She was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and will now have a bench trial in Lawrence District Court. Despite being diagnosed with postpartum depression earlier in 2025, Fitzmimmons had been cleared to return to work following the incident.
