Staten Island native posthumously awarded Medal of Honor at White House

President Donald Trump awarded the Medal of Honor to three U.S. soldiers, two posthumously, one of whom was from Staten Island. Staff Sergeant Michael Ollis was killed during an attack in Afghanistan. The other two honorees were a World War II veteran and a sergeant from the Vietnam War. The medal ceremony took place at the White House.
