Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a law allowing him and other state officials to designate groups as "terrorist organizations" and expel students who support them. The law could result in a forcibly dissolved group and a freeze on state funding. Free speech group PEN America also warned that the measure could put pressure on individuals to avoid speaking, organizing, or engaging with certain viewpoints. Critics argue that it violates free speech and due process.
